Yesterday, for the first time, we packed up our pencils and picnic blankets and headed up to London for the Plum Pudding Drawing Day! A day of doodling in the glorious sunshine with some of our wonderful artists - what could be better?!
With so many project deadlines on the go, the chance to get stuck into location drawing really doesn't come often for our artists. It was a welcome change for all of us, as everyone commented that they felt thoroughly relaxed and de-stressed at the end of the day. It was also a fantastic chance for those that came to spend time with their fellow illustrators in a more social setting, plenty of time for all those much-needed catch-ups!
Can you really think of a better way to spend a gorgeous summer's day? Sitting in the park drawing our surroundings, and each other, in the sunshine with a picnic and a glass of fizz, sounds pretty perfect to us!
Thanks so much to all who came, we had such a wonderful day with you all. Here's to the next one - we'd better get organising!
